There’s No Place like Home for the Holidays

Decorating for the holidays can be a daunting task. And, if you haven’t started yet, it’s definitely time to get going. Luckily, a beautifully decorated home doesn’t have to break the bank or take days to do. Keep reading for some holiday life hacks and beautiful DIYs to get you started.

holiday home 1Ornament garland. Ornaments of all shapes and sizes are such a quintessential piece of holiday spirit. All you need for this garland is ornaments (this particular garland used 100 ornaments) and ribbon. Simply string the ornaments and you’re done.

Pumpkin Snowmen. If you haven’t gotten around to disposing of your Halloween decorations, turn your pumpkins into snowmen with some paint. Easy peasy.

Photo Garland. Utilize family photos for a unique display. Mount the photos on cardstock, and then hang them on string or twine with clothespins.

Light clips. When hanging up lights outside, it can be difficult to get them to stay put without damaging your home. Use light clips to add illumination to railings, roofs, gutters and windows. Inexpensive and easy to use, light clips will go a long way to making your home well lit.

Homemade menorah. If you realized too late that you don’t have a menorah, and Hanukah is here, create one yourself! All you need for this branch menorah is a branch, a drill and candles. Easy, and beautiful.
